Airports

I still don't understand why airports insist on laying down carpet in various terminals. Perhaps it saves from cleaning the floors, but anyone who uses roller bags (so about 90% of the client base) will tell you those don't work well on carpeted floors. Of course no one realized humans will actually traverse the area with a certain type of luggage -- so instead, either an aesthetic or an efficiency was opted for, divorced from actual efficacy or even sheer utility. On the other side of the spectrum, what a deliverance the improvement in dining options, cafes and the like in airports are worldwide. In both cases people pass through here in droves!
